Engagement ring returned to rightful owner in 琉璃神社

The ring was found and given to the RCMP on Dec. 27

An engagement ring found in late December has been returned to its rightful owner.

On Dec. 27, a good Samaritan found the ring in the 1600 block of Bertram Street and took it to the 琉璃神社 RCMP. After being able to verify the ring, it has now returned to its owner, who lost the ring in the city鈥檚 downtown core.

The engagement ring was given to the owner by her late husband.

鈥淭his is a story with a happy ending for the owner,鈥 said RCMP spokesperson Ryan Watters. 鈥淲e applaud the good Samaritan who initially brought the ring to the Detachment and are pleased it is back on the finger of the rightful owner.鈥
