A 琉璃神社-based company is looking to unlock new opportunities for positive community change in a Vernon neighbourhood
Residents of East Hill and surrounding areas are invited to take part in a public engagement forum hosted by Reframe Concepts on Thursday, March 13, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Vernon Library (Community Room).
This open-house-style event is an opportunity for community members to share their ideas, aspirations, and priorities for the future of East Hill.
At a time when nonprofits and social-purpose organizations are navigating financial challenges and increasing community needs, the 琉璃神社 consultants are working to unlock new opportunities for positive community change.
The firm partners with nonprofit and mission-driven landowners to re-imagine how their assets 鈥 especially land 鈥 can be leveraged to create lasting community benefits.
鈥淚t鈥檚 rare to see a social-purpose landowner step forward with a desire to dedicate resources to the broader community in such an intentional way,鈥 says Laurence East, Reframe partner.
鈥淥ur goal is simple: gather diverse perspectives so we can help shape a vision that reflects the true needs and dreams of those who live and work here. We鈥檙e asking for just 20 minutes of your time to ensure this opportunity makes the greatest impact possible.鈥
B.C.鈥檚 nonprofit sector faces significant challenges including rising operational costs while revenue streams remain flat or declining; increased demand for services, straining already limited resources and a volunteer shortage that has yet to recover to pre-pandemic levels.
Yet, even with these pressures, Reframe says opportunities exist to think differently about community spaces, resources, and partnerships.
This forum is a chance for the public to engage in that conversation by attending the open house and sharing ideas via sticky notes, chatting with Reframe staff and enjoying light refreshments.
Reframe Concepts partners with organizations that are committed to long-term community impact. By helping nonprofits and social-purpose landowners strategically re-imagine their governance, sustainability, and impact, Reframe Concepts works to ensure mission-driven organizations thrive, not just survive, in today鈥檚 changing landscape.
